Meet Sabrina & Darren

Sabrina's passion for horses and riding was the inspiration behind Morning Star Ranch. With more than 20 years of riding under her belt she has made Reining, Trail Riding, Mountain Obstacles, and Desensitization her primary focus.

Sabrina believes that a solid groundwork foundation is fundamental to achieving riding success. She is always striving to improve her horsemanship skills and attends many professional development clinics each year. Sabrina's goal is to train her horses to be soft, willing, trustworthy and respectful partners.

Darren built Sabrina's dream with his bare hands. Literally.

You will see him on the ranch fixing fences, feeding horses and keeping the grounds and arenas in immaculate condition.

Good Riding Starts with Good Horsemanship

Horse owners need to know how to effectively communicate with their horses. Learning how your horse thinks and how best to communicate with him through fundamental groundwork and riding exercises will give both you and your horse the confidence for a safe, respectful and fun partnership.

Next, focus on gaining more control of your horse’s feet on the ground and achieving suppleness and collection in the saddle.

Continue to develop your feel and timing further and learn to cue your horse to do advanced maneuvers on the ground and under saddle with simply a suggestion.
